Research Associate (m/f/d, Postdoc) in the Project "Culpable Ignorance – Moral Knowledge in Organizations"

Scope of work: full-time position suitable for part-time
Duties include academic research in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
The ideal candidate will pursue a research agenda on organizational ethics or knowledge in organizations and be competent in working with qualitative research methods. The successful applicant will conduct independent research on the topics of the project, participate in regular research events and take on administrative duties such as the organization of workshops and conferences. Given the collaborative nature of the research setting, the successful applicant is expected to work together with other project members to ensure that the project's goals are achieved. There are no teaching requirements.
A university degree in a relevant field plus doctorate. Relevant fields include philosophy, sociology, psychology, political science, business economics, management studies, as well as related disciplines.
Applicants should have previous knowledge appropriate to the topics of the project, including competence in some of the following fields: social epistemology, applied ethics, organizational psychology, organizational sociology.
Applicants who can evidence competence in qualitative research methods will be given preference.
Candidates must have excellent research skills commensurate with their career stage.
Applicants will be given preference if they can demonstrate the following:
- the ability to carry out independent research resulting in publishable papers
- the willingness and ability to work in a collaborative and highly interdisciplinary research environment
- experience of giving research presentations
- excellent organizational skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Mastery of the German language is not required. Excellent command of the English language is required.
