Penelope Deutscher is Professor of Philosophy at Northwestern University and Visiting International Professor at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Her publications include Yielding Gender: Feminism, Deconstruction and the History of Philosophy (Routledge, 1997), and The Philosophy of Simone de Beauvoir: Ambiguity, Conversion, Resistance (Cambridge University Press, 2008). Forthcoming works include Foucault’s Futures: A Critique of Reproductive Reason, with Columbia University Press.
